This is British gas and they make appointments without asking you to install smart meters I went online and cancelled if you dont they will turn up and Ive read if you dont let them in or are out they will bill you for their time absolutely ridiculous
I had a phone call from 02922229992 clalming to be Eon, who asked if I wanted a 'Smart meter', they wanted my account details.... RED FLAG!!!!! Eon SHOULD have my account details - well, they certainly had my phone number. I contacted Eon and they told me to block the number it wan't them....! To be hones't I wondered if this was some dirty trick Eon had dreamed up - how would THEY know I had no Smart meter..... and how did they get my phone number, no prizes for guessing sorry. Insurance, claiming to be calling about your life insurance saying they may be able to find you a better deal for your life insurance, asks the basic questions, but wants your account number and sort code to setup a direct debit by the end. Unsure if they are a legit company or not as obviously ended the call before giving details.

SCAM txt message from this number. Advising me I’ve been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive. Please order a test kit: with a web address. (Doesn’t even say positive for what) Fools! I attempted to look up the web address on my iPad and it came up as non existent. Presumably they would have tried to make me pay for them.
This number is used to scam people out if money on Whats App. It will pretend to be a family member and ask you to talk on What’s App only and then ask to lend money for Christmas presents because they have been locked out of their banking app. Always ask for information that will verify that you are actually talking to your family member or they will play a clever game and scam you out if your cash. They tried to get £940 off me!! This has been reported to What’s App.

Fraud - I think? This number rang my home landline (I couldn't reach it, I'm disabled). - I did 1471 + 3 - the number was dead. Google didn't find it (but found a few close variations from Southern American countries, not anyone I know then, (we're in UK). This number doesn't ring when dialed on landline or my mobile, (but rang me a good 1/2 minutes)? I checked & checked it again. - How's it possible? - Obviously some kind of "con", "scam" ?!
