Came up as an international number and recorded voice said our internet had been hacked and to press various options on what to do.

He claimed to be carphone warehouse. No reason they should be calling me. Had a very thick indian accent, sounds in background of call centre ... people speaking hindi! Prob a scam

I've had a call from this number claiming they are from my bank Halifax, i notice the area code is Halifax but i'm not sure if this is a scam call.

Interest on account has risen drastically and I no longer care, they can pee off. I was more than willing to come to an agreement but they are cowboys that think they can bully you into paying despite explaining circumstances have changed.
