cold caller. when i pick up it hangs up. been phoning me for a few days now.
This number called me 07/10/2022 just after 09:30 with an automated message claiming from HM rev & cust. I hung up half way through message because 100% scam!!

Jason Phillips called me from this number and then sent 2 email copy letters with Financial Ombudsman Service at top right of the letters, stating a big refund for my solar PV. He asked for covering payment upfront saying it is needed to cover costs of UK Law Associates before a refund could be arranged. I had no positive proof of who he was/is and declined the payment. I am perusing this through the ombudsman who is handling the case of mis-sold pv for me.

This number is apparently from Kazakhstan, it sent me a random job enquiry thing about some sort of pretty high paying jobs saying I’ll get paid in pounds. Fraud Caller says they are from the fraud department of your credit card. They then say they are checking on a suspicious transaction which is bogus of course. They say they will block the account but only once they email you a one time pass code which they want read back to them. It’s a scam and was confirmed by the genuine fraud department once I called them.

We received a letter with this number in looking very authentic with quality paper, official headings and very plausible wording. We were nearly convinced.I was very glad to be able to look up the number on this website to confirm doubts.
