SCAM Claims to be HMRC calling about unpaid tax.
SCAM I got an automated female voice stating it was bank security. £300 was to pay Amazon and £1100 was by bank transfer. I got the exact same phonecall yesterday from another number. I was to press 1 to speak to someone if I hadn't made these transactions. I have been told by my bank that if anything like this was to happen the bank would notify me with the bank's name and a the name of whoever I was talking to as soon as I answered the phone. They would never phone with an automated message.

Automated call - telling me that a cost had gone against my Visa card for £300 Amazon and £1100 from somewhere else - I hung up as it wanted me to choose an option. I checked my accounts on a different device and all good. Fraud

number texted me asking who i was, claiming they had my number on their phone, needless to say i didn't tell them my name, telling them i had no idea how they got my number. Seemed like a scam or worse, especially asking for my name.

Well spoken young male claiming to be from BT business and looking to review my phone usage and how I could reduce my costs. When I advised him that this was a residential line he said that as it was still being used for a business he could probably still save me money. When I showed disinterest he advised me that I would need to have a conversation with them soon as BT were discontinuing analogue phone services next year and we would lose our service if we didn't transfer to digital. I hung up.

I have had my own story of crypto scams due to referrals from some site, I lost a lot of money and i was still told to send more money to unlock my account because my balance was non-spendable or something else. Sadly i couldn’t count on the police so i reached out to a company that helped. ROOTKITS RECOVERY FIRM [ R O O T K I T S 7 @ G M A I L . C O M ] and luckily for me, I was able to get my money back. They showed me how every bitcoin transaction is traceable. Your crypto first goes to the scam wallet,
asks questions and then rudely hangs up.
I called back and it went to a D2MS answer machine. D2MS work as callers for many companies including Butterbox so I am unaware if this was a scam call or not.
