I have been receiving several calls a week from this number to my mobile phone, home number and office number. They either say they are from "Trading Banks" or a market research company in Taiwan. Either way, you know it s a scam. I like to have fun with them. They have all been Filipino until today where the caller was of African descent. Been rang by this number several times this week, but they would not leave a message on my answer machine. They rang at 3pm today, so i answered the call. Was told they were Consumer helpline, and i was owed an over payment on a loan in 2011. Never had a loan. so they were phishing. Was told they had been given the wrong information. Don t know how they got my number as Ex-directory.

An un-solicited call, by a company claiming to be IFA Direct. I asked for their company details and he said we are in Malaga, Spain. I.F.A Direct have a website, and are in Woking, Surrey. Very strange behaviour. Whoever they are, they are phishing for personal details about pensions and finances. They are employing hard sell techniques. They are evasive and won t give out their company details. And they are illegally calling numbers registered with the T.P.S. Stay well away from these people.

When I said I wouldn t give her any personal information without making sure she actually was from Vodafone, she offered to send me a text message to confirm (which Vodafone has never done). The text message came from 08700700191, which is not where my Vodafone texts normally from.
