Gave him false sort code and account number to see where this was going. He asked me to "confirm" my date of birth also gave him a false date, he missed the fact it was April Fool's day. This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. This is because I am on Carers Allowance. HMRC do not have my mobile number. SCAM

This is the fourth time this week calls from 01223 reputed to be Cambridge? saying my bank account has been attacked etc when pressed 2 to talk to the operator a female Asian voice answered....I asked are you in Nagapur India, the line went dead? It's obvious they have a way to get into our phone system. Another one they use is Liverpool 01514.

Claimed he was from "Sky" a scam call as i don't have any sky services.

I this is a search i made for Matalan in Newcastle upon tyne I pponed the number as i wished to speak to customer servie. A male voice spoke to me saying you have reached your credit please press one to make a payment, I dony have any credit withe matalan. I thought this was a bit fishy so i blocked the number. then i asked my husband to phone the number from his old Nokia phone. the reply was. This number has been blocked. hmmm was it a scam or what. this was my experience, I hope my comments help.

Claimed to be from O2, said they were calling because I was a "Longtime customer", accidentally hung up themselves mid-sentence. Considering I only joined O2 last month, almost certainly a scam.
