02036109310 SCAM I believe, Claimed to be Edward from virgin media about my firewall protection...was very keen to want to send me something on my mobile. He was momentarily interested in sending it to my laptop until I told him it was a work issued laptop. Told him my phone was not internet connected as I found it to distracting and he hung up without a goodbye.I suspect the thought of a work issued laptop put him off as it would have good security and catch the rogue link he wanted to send me?

If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number! SCAM Had a number of calls recently offering a new iPhone. I don't use or like Apple products so they are wasting their time. 2 calls yesterday from 01208 247201 - missed the 1st, but they rang again withing seconds. As suspected, another iPhone scam call. That block of numbers is owned by Franzcom Telecoms in Bodmin, Cornwall. Something needs to be done to prevent these foreign scammers spoofing UK telephone numbers.

Suspect this is a spam call. Message left on answerphone was generic in that no person was identified. Stated that two sums of money taken from my account - no mention which account. The information was false. Wanted me to make contact with them.

Fraud - I think? This number rang my home landline (I couldn't reach it, I'm disabled). - I did 1471 + 3 - the number was dead. Google didn't find it (but found a few close variations from Southern American countries, not anyone I know then, (we're in UK). This number doesn't ring when dialed on landline or my mobile, (but rang me a good 1/2 minutes)? I checked & checked it again. - How's it possible? - Obviously some kind of "con", "scam" ?!

HMRC SCAM 07477 169835 - Just received a call from this number purporting to be from HMRC about a letter being returned and threatening legal action and to press One to speak to an officer. Recorded voice message was a female with American accent.
