Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?

The number they called is for an organisation with thousands of employees and the number they called is not for any individual. Easy to get rid of unwanted/unknown calls. I hold a PPL (Private Pilots Licence) so I just tell em I m at 3000ft and can t answer. They don t realise most of the time I m in my car actually!! I have threatened to report them to Air Traffic Control...
Similar story to many of the above, claim that the 3rd party in an accident is making a claim and I should too, very poor line on the one occasion someone did speak otherwise it just hangs up after I answer. Tried calling back and it just goes straight to hold music indefinately.
