They rang but dont speak
Someone called me from this number and asked me if I was "my own name". I stupidly confirmed it and then confirmed my email address. They started telling me about an iPad that I had won. <> <> <>
Then followed a lot of swearing on my part before they hung up.
Next time, if someone asks who I am, I ll ask who they are before hanging up.
I am abroad and had a miss call from this number. As I did not recognize it, I did not return the call. But I started worrying when I saw other 4 missed calls from the same number. Thanks to your reports I saved a roaming call. I HAD a contract with Vodafone, more than a year ago!

Same happened to me. Rung at 10:20 . A distorted noise and then hung up.
Called claiming to be Scottish Power. I stupidly went through the security questions (address and DOB) as I am in process of leaving Scottish Power. He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. I had suspicions though and said I would do it online - he asked why, at which point I was really suspicious and called up Scottish Power who didn t know the number, and said my account was in credit. This is a scam, they claim they are calling from O2 my mobile provider which is not true and they ask you to go through security with them you give false info and they claim all is fine and that they are now on your account. All fake I never gave real info and my provider it is not O2. Beware!!

This is the barclaycard team calling about late payments or exceeded credit card limit. If you don t have a barclaycard, somebody has used your number so that they don t get these calls themselves.

SCAM An automated voice was saying that I've just purchased iPhone and the amount of over £1000 will be deducted from the card associated with my personal Amazon account, it asked me to choose the option to confirm the transaction or speak to an adviser. I have logged into my Amazon account, there is no such order placed. I also have checked my bank account, no pending transactions. I haven't received any notification from the bank about activities on my account.
