I called this Scam number from a letter send by a company call Rothesay and Experian. A man answered and put me through to a woman who started asking me a lot if personal questions. I discovered she was located in South Africa. I then realized it was a SCAM.

TAXES / HMRC Robocall allegedly from HMRC saying that they are about to take legal action against you and press one, leave your details to prevent legal action being taken. No human interaction whatsoever. When you try to call it back ( from a withheld number you get an immediate divert saying sorry calls can't be taken at this time or an unobtainable tone.

Pretending to call on behalf of the DVLA. Wanting to know if I owned a diesel car in return for compensation. I didnt confirm. Knew my first name. Got aggressive and refused to remove my details from the database. Threatened me with more calls. Blocked and reported.

SCAM - offered 40% discount on my next bill, when I asked who they were they said it was for my phone bill. I asked if it was Vodafone and she said yes, then asked how much I was paying for my phone bill and what kind of device I had - all information she should have been able to gather from my account. Said he was my energy representative for my area postcode. I asked who he worked for, and after a pause long enough for it to be clear he wasn't going to answer, he continued with his script. I stopped him and asked again what company he was calling from. He then hung up! Clearly a poorly thought-out scam call!
