Had a call about our washing machine warranty being out of date. He rang off when I asked a few questions about their company [difficult to hear what he said at this point] and how he came by his information. Usual garbage, but sounded British. This might be a follow up from a so-called survey I foolishly agreed to go through a few days ago - and during which I asked NOT to be contacted from, I assume, the people instigating it in the first place. This company is calling any number it can to try and get people to claim for PPI. It calls numbers registered on the TPS and therefore I will be reporting them to Ofcom.

Received unsolicited calls from 0114 319 0673 even though I m signed up to the telephone preference service. Looks like they are faking their outgoing number which means they must be scammers. Don t bother answering or calling back.

I believe this company is Harringtons Advisory ltd. PPI,Pensions,Accidents,Mortgages,debts, and other claims calls. I have found 67 phone numbers for them so far, and 35 of them end in 063. This company is under investigation by the Claims Management Regulator, but thats only for the PPI side of it. I have had nothing but hassle from this company. I ve just had a call from this number (well spoken English male) offering me a nuisance calls device. I questioned him coming to the cost of the service he asked if I am over 65 and in this case it will be 2 pounds a year (!) for 3 years after which it will be free !!! I wanted him to speak to my husband but he was not available at the moment. He hung up.
