Automated message claiming to be bank security (no bank name mentioned) saying there’s been unusual activity on my card via Amazon and an online purchase. Press 1 to approve, 2 to reject and 3 to speak to a customer adviser.

Just received a call from the number with automated female voice reporting "suspicious fraud transactions" from my bank account. It is a scam nothing more. Recommend blocking the call.

SCAM Claims to be from O2 and sends texts messages during the call requesting that you tell the caller the code that is in the message for a 40% discount. An obvious scam, reported to NCSC and O2 as it looks like they’re trying to scam users into giving O2 account passcodes which is fraud. Kept her talking long enough for her to become quite rude and call me a liar, I’m not even with O2 so not sure why they’d target me, certainly not an O2 employee anyway.

Scam pretending to be from Visa.

Phoned me and played a computer recodred message which claimed to be from my card provider, without telling me who they were. Told me that there had been suspicious transactions on my account and tried to get me to speak to them. I hung up and checked with my bank who told me that nothing of the sort could have happened. Fraudulent telephone call. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!

There was quiet and after 5secound Alexa said goodbye..

"David", in his very difficult-to-understand accent, said he was calling from '3' about upgrading my phone. Do I have an iPhone or a Samsung? I don't even have a contract with 3, so this has got to be some sort of scam. I rang off.

SCAM. I received all my items from online ordering so I knew something was suspicious.

SCAM I don't know anyone from that side of UK , I don't have any links with Blackburn, so I didn't answer it! Everyone, be aware to scams, fraud potential calls or any other kind of calls from phone numbers that you don't have in your agenda!

This number is embedded in a fake Tesco invoice pdf. Its a phishing email designed to scare you into thinking someone is buying iPhones with your account.

SCAM Said from Vodafone upgrade team and could offer me a great deal on a upgrade. Asked them to email me the details so I could check it over. Email looked dodgy, address wasn't a Vodafone one. Forwarded onto Vodafone and they said not a genuine email from them. Called me back again and got angry when I challenged them on what Vodafone said. Told me I'd get another email to prove they were genuine within 30mins, still waiting a few hours later. Four calls today alone, all from different numbers!

Cold call received mid-morning. Disrespectful, pushy and unprofessional. No contact from this local business ever before, yet rang using over-familiar approach and demanding to talk about IT and security contracts. No evidence of who they were, except their say so. This is not someone that you would wish to talk to blind on the phone and not a business that thinks about their approaches and the need to safeguard their prospective customers against "fishing expeditions". FraudFemale recorded voice with American accent (very amateurish) saying they were HMRC and that I had been reported for tax evasion. The case has been reported to the police and would be brought before a magistrate. "Press 1 to speak to a HMRC agent", Obviously I didn't. This country has some of the most advanced telecomms technology in the world. WHY can't the authoriries (Police, BT, the Regulator) take down these numbers?

Call received today (11 Jan) saying from they were from Amazon and did I wish to continue with my Prime subscription or cancel it. Simply responded by asking 'why would you as that'. No response, they disconnected the call.

This is the latest spoof number in the "Carphone Warehouse" scam - they aren't Carphone Warehouse but a bunch of crooks after your bank details.

01223931099 rang with a very loud background noise proporting to be a call centre. The caller, with a strong foreign accent, alleged he was from sky refund centre; however, when I said ok in a less than enthusiastic manner, the caller hung up. This is most unlike any sky call centre I have experienced. I suspect it to be a scam.

I believe this to be a scam. Saying fraudulant transactions on your bank account plus international withdrawal. Ask you to press options. This number is now blocked.

SCAM - I had the same call (01970607650 - 11/5/2022, 14:36) as several people before me, medical alert company, entitled to an alert pendant, wanting to ask me questions. I said wait, I wanted to ask him questions, where was he calling from, um...Dorset, then he started his spiel again. So I asked where he got my name from and why he thought I was entitled to a medical pendant, and he hung up. BE VERY CAREFUL - THIS GUY IS PREYING ON VULNERABLE PEOPLE!!!
