Another pretend "Microsoft Technical Department" call. An obvious scammer and the phone number spoofed. The call seemed to come from a call centre with Asiatic voices.

They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. Received a text message from a number displayed as "43723". Text message reads "HSBC FRAUD ALERT: We have held a recent payment on your account for 452.00GBP to J ALIM - REF:B6JX. Please contact fraud on 03301900571 for further assistance." Probably a scam phone number.

This number is attached to a PayPal request for £749.99 from a Brad Faylo ([email protected]) I declined the request, obviously, but it mentions fraudulent activity in my account debiting £749.99 GBP for iFLY gift cards.

I asked to speak to management and the name of manager made up a random name. I said that person does not work in your department- they got angry told me I was being cut off and hung up!! Rang my original provider theu said it was a common scam!!

had a pre approved payment go through my paypal which i had been scammed on a certain website when disputed with paypal they didnt care since then had phone calls from them with an automated dialler

Pretending they tried to deliver a parcel providing a phishing website. They also tried again with another message saying “mom I’ve smashed my phone, texting off my friends phone but it’s 1%. Message me to 07943742512” both messages on the same day, such a genius
