The woman told me she was from a Talk Talk department and was calling about my router. After making her repeat the same thing several times I told her I had had the same or similar calls about 150 times, knew she was nothing but a criminal and.....by that time she had rung off! This call was a follow-up call from the Met Police after I reported a theft via their 101 non-emergency number. They repeated to me details from my 101 call, so I have no doubt it was the police. I imagine its unknown etc as it comes through their switchboard, I get the same when the wife rings me from work phone.

My answerphone is permanently on to intercept this sort of thing. These people have started leaving malicious and abusive messages. Thought this went beyond telemarketing so reported them to police. Their response was to advise if I don t want abusive calls don t use answerphone! Not sure who s the bigger waste of space, cretinous telemarketers or the Met.
