Scam Calls claiming to be virgin media, offering discount on virgin mobile, Asked if I use iPhone or Samsung I said I use a Bush washing machine, she asked how much I pay for virgin media, I said £2.50 a month, she asked if I want a new iPhone, I said an iPhone can't clean clothes? She hung up As a virgin media and virgin mobile customer it is very difficult to know if I am being called by virgin or a scammer. I no longer trust any caller to my phone and will only rely on them if I call them first

SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. He told me the "balance" and the amount was incorrect because I have my bill in front of me and an a real call wouldn't give me info since the account isn't in my name without other info. Phone call offering me a new phone and contract with massive savings. When I asked question that the caller was not prepared for or on her script she became very confused. I gave her false information about my phone, contract cost and provider and asked more questions that she could not answer she hung up. Number now blocked.

A man with a strong foreign accent rang to say we had £137 refund from the insurance on our washing machine and wanted bank details so the refund could be made. Definatly a fraudulent attempt.

My mother has been contacted many times on this and other phone numbers. The message, from the caller is always the same, she tells my mother, first in English and then in Chinese that she has a package waiting for her, to collect from the Chinese embassy. This is clearly a scam call.
