Scammer with automated message stating it was my bank.. Claimed a transfer of £600 had been blocked to western union and asking me to dial 1 to connect to an operator. I hung up as I don't even have £600 and checked with my online banking for any alerts. Nothing there.

Fraud obtained my ex directory phone number by illegal means, tried to tell me he had everyone's number which is a lie because I have not given this company permission to contact me.

I believe this number to be a scam to gain access into a fictional Bitcoin account. Eventually, you will be asked to part with money to access an account that is supposedly already meant to belong to you. this is a SCAM!! Avoid at all costs!!

Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?

How this has been given a safe rating is beyond me!! Claim they are from O2 and send a code and then ask for it. They will then proceed to send you a phone by mistake and ring you back in a panic and say they sent it to you by mistake and can you send it back to them. Just hang up!!

The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. SCAM Claimed from curries trying to sell i Phone contracts caller had American accent over what sounded like a south Asian accent, claimed to be from Bangladesh working for curries when questioned. kept asking for my email address to send details.
