I think it was a scam call...

Telephone call claiming to be form the Visa Mastercard security line allowing me to select option 1 to cancel 2 attempted transactions this morning. One for £600 and the other for £900. Scam.

didn't answer initial call. call appeared as a uk mobile number. rang back and the guy had no idea that he had placed a call suggesting someone else was using his number.

Text Message saying my "EVRI" order is being held back at "our POST-OFFICE" and trying to direct me to a site to re-schedule. I'm not awaiting any orders. Suspect SCAM.

SPAM I think! Number sends a (Covid-19) SMS alert message: NHS: You've recenty been in close contact with a confirmed case. You must book a test kit: https://my-pcr-order.com But, the SMS does not actually mention Covid-19! And, the website it takes you to appears to be the genuine NHS website, where it explicitly says you no longer have to isolate or do a lateral flow test, and there is no information on how to get a pcr test now that Test and Trace no longer operates!!!

SCAM Got a call just now from 020 8089 6127 by a South African sounding woman, saying she was from a company called Teabag, and she went on the say I understand you have defrauded out of money on-line and want to get it back. When I asked how she got my name and phone number she hung up.

A robocaller from "mastercard" saying £600 from my account was sent to a foreign country and to press 1 to cancel or something. Clearly a scam I never sent that much to any foreign country.

A female speaking chinese or mandarin, no idea what was being said. May have mentioned UPS which co-incidentally I've been receiving scam emails recently purporting to be from them about an outstanding delivery which I can categorically state I am NOT awaiting. This is likely to be connected. SCAM every day in my opinion.

Caller said they were from O2. Said there was suspicious activity on my account, then a text turned up that looked to have come from O2. The text had a code number that they wanted to "prove I was the account holder. I'm sorry. This is an obvious scam. They'd use that code to hijack my account, change the address, and order as many high end phones and tablets as O2 would let them. Message also suggest the you ring back to speak to an operator with the company, again not named, if you need further help or information. I suggest you DO NOT do this.
