indian man said he was the carphone warehouse (not in business) wanting to know bout my mobile phone contract.. he tried guessing who i'm with and got it wrong both times (EE and 3).. told him i don't have a contract.. he wanted to 'send me' information about new phones etc.. told him i'd just bought a new phone.. he gave up and hung up

SPAM: Said they were from Beneficial, calling to do a market survey. Had a very old address and when I said it was wrong, they tried to get me to give them my new one. Hung up when I refused.

Told me they were from BT Cyber Security but we are not with BT. Rang Back on 004930268864 and said he had just phoned. I said not with BT but he said he knew but put down the phone. The number rang twice but no message left on answerphone.

I have had several calls from this number offering me a payday loan, the callers English is very poor and have used different names for the company they work for on occasion, definitely not a trustworthy caller.
Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?
