An Indian sounding gentleman on a very bad line, claimed to be calling me from Currys PCWorld with a promotion to upgrade my cellphone (his term) for no charge, could I just confirm what phone I currently had? As I do not have a mobile contract through Currys PCWorld I knew this was a scam call and hung up.

DANGER ! Definitely Spam. Lady with Indian accent as O2 customer service telling me they had received multiple complaints about signal problem. I said I was satisfied with signal coverage. She then tried to give me a number to call back. I challenged her and told her I thought she not not legit. She started arguing. I said a real customer agent would not argue like that. Put down the phone.

A lady from (Dell??) or (Delta??) calling herself 'Norah Jones'. Asks me if I'm still working [place], if my email is still [email] and if I'm still [function]. Smh she does know some stuff about me. Perhaps looking at some sort of CRM? Can't make up if I accidentally left my data somewhere and ended up in this system? Or my data got to their system another way. It's all quite sketchy. Tried calling back but getting: "this is the voicemail of Norah Jones, I'm on vacation".

As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.

This number texted me over Whatsapp, apparently by accident. Shared some pics of an asian girl, stated she is from Singapore, living in Poland. Asked for pictures of myself, and was overly friendly. Refused to talk over video. So, yeah, many red flags.

Told me that there had been suspicious transactions on my account and tried to get me to speak to them. I hung up and checked with my bank who told me that nothing of the sort could have happened. This number called me at 16h33 on Tuesday 11th April 2023. Man with heavy Indian accent claimed to be from Microsoft. Said I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service so he shouldn't call me. Hung up, but he rang again and asked why I'd hung up. I said I'd already explained why, and hung up. He phoned a third time, and in a stroppy tone asked why I'd hung up. So I hung up AGAIN. For a fourth time, he phoned again. Didn't answer, and blocked his number. Obvious nuisance.
