Automated call claiming to be from HMRC due to fraud on 'my account' with the threat of immediately being arrested if I didn't continue with the automated call - hung up as I find this highly unlikely.

cant call it back to check who it was as it said incorrect number but this was the number that came up on my screen and in my log.

this is a fraud number saying that a transaction has been taken from your card.

This number called once in afternoon and once in evening approx 7.15 I answered the evening one and it was a loud screeching noise like a fax machine

Accident claim phishing call

Seem to have now blocked 0843 980 12xx where xx so far is anywhere between 01 to 51 - 47 just the latest. Last time i answered it from one of these numbers there was nobody there. Wonder if phone numbers of the call centre staff are also on their autocall list.

They call 2 or 3 times a day, and when i answer, i always hear a conversation going on between the people in the office, then they go silent and hang up. Been called a couple of times from this number claiming I have money owed to me from a third party in my last crash. There was no third party involved, only myself, yet they keep on ringing and telling me this (presumably they want my bank details). When I explain that they are totally in the wrong and there is no money owed to me they have become VERY RUDE.
