This seems to be the latest scam whereby the caller tel no comes up as local to you and you answer assuming it s your dentist or child s school etc so 01525 is for Leighton Buzzard etc The give away is its always a scouser accent When you say hold on you are not a Leighton buzzard no they hang up They mentioned the accident I never had ... SCAM - Recorded Message advising NI Number has been compromised and I am to press 1 to speak to someone. Hung up and googled the scam and read DO NOT PRESS 1. I have logged with Action Fraud. Now blocked the number.
Unknown caller offering trading but did not want to tell their name. It was a robotic voice.
Called my mobile this afternoon (NEVER believe any company saying they won't pass your details on!) Number came up as Bedford. I picked up but didn't speak straight away. After a couple or so seconds I started to say "Hello?" but they hung up before I spoke!

Safe number Sky VIP. I ended up with a much better deal. The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.
