Some Indian guy named John(..) knew my name and offered me a new boiler under a government scheme... I asked him which company he worked for, he didn t say... I said my boiler was new (true) and then he hung up on me.
Rang my phone 4 times in an hour and when I picked up the line there was no one on the other end of the line.
Been called a couple of times from this number claiming I have money owed to me from a third party in my last crash. There was no third party involved, only myself, yet they keep on ringing and telling me this (presumably they want my bank details). When I explain that they are totally in the wrong and there is no money owed to me they have become VERY RUDE. They call 2 or 3 times a day, and when i answer, i always hear a conversation going on between the people in the office, then they go silent and hang up. I called back today and spoke to a sales agent Maurice James, who said he would remove my number from their account. Called stating they were from "VISA Security". I hung up after hearing that.
As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.
Asked if I had reviewed my life insurance within the last 18 months. I informed him that I had no intention of discussing my life insurance arrangements and hung up.

This call was offensive. Saying from Fraud Squad and unless I entered 1 (one) a warrant would be issued for my arrest. It was loud and gruff. I hung up, some might feel threatened and fall for it.
Foreign agent, aske for named person, would not identify themselves.

This sounds very dodgy from the start but I played along, chatting with a lady with a foreign accent. It's eventually got to the stage where she asked me for my bank account and sorting code, at which point I asked her a very personal question. She then swore at me and hung up. She had mentioned postcode lottery, and assured me that I had won a European holiday and £399 in cash at one point she said the company was called something like travel and leisure.

OMG guys it's really a fear to receive such a repeated call from strange numbers. I was even scared hard cuz i thought it might be my university sending me another warning ...
Irish lad said he was calling about my frozen pension. i played along and made up stuff about a fictitious pension which he VERIFIED. When said I was just digging out the file to get the pension reference number he hung up, l am a pension administrator so can baffle them with terminology. Proves these calls are a scam.
