Fraud SCAM Fraud Claimed to be from Vodaphone, said that an attempt to change my account number had been flagged up, called my number to verify with an old address (first flag) Second flag was when I asked if I could have a verification email I received a what amounted to a "yes but hurry up and give me the number" And of course, when I received a recovery/account change text, the first words of said text were DO NOT TELL ANYONE THIS NUMBER, POLICE OR VODAPHONE EMPLOYEES INCLUDED. Was an answerphone recording telling me I owed money to the Tax office. I blocked the number as I'm sure HMRC don't use mobile phones to make calls, and will find a conventional method of contacting me rather than a dodgy auto service.

SCAM Indian woman pretending to be BT saying that there were multiple unknown IP addresses connected to our internet. Tried to get me to go into the terminal of my computer and started inserting ridiculous stuff. As soon as I asked BT to email me officially and we take it from there, she went silent and hung up.

Southend-on-Sea! I've no connections to there any more, none that would have my telephone number. No purchases made from over there. And there are no company names attached to this number. I can only assume phishing or scamming of its not a misdialled number.
Call centre; obtained this information by cutting the call and ringing caller. Typical background noise of call centre environment. Harrassing and unsolicited.
Safe number Just spoke to this company. They discussed my current Royal London policy which I have not reviewed before and found that it was no longer suitable. I then spoken to a qualified adviser and have a correct policy to protect my wife and 2 children. Very professional and I am very happy with their service. No hassle, no fees and no pressure.

This was a scam call claiming to be from a restaurant I visited recently through OpenTable, they got my card info before phoning back on a private number claiming to be from Santander.
It's an automated call like a robot. They said they're calling about a repair iv reported to my landlord? I simply replied no and the robot understood that and just said alright bye. Weird but could trick someone and scam them somehow.
