Pretends to be calling from a local number (this is called spoofing and is illegal in USA for example). Supposedly representing "Global Care". Avoid like the plague.

Received a strange call about fraudulent use of my bank card?

This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. As people do search for this number, it should be used, so be aware.

This number called me twice on 2nd December - stating "THIS IS BT RINGING" telling me there is a fault with my Internet and asking me to do - this, that, etc etc.I said I'd ring him back which I did --- I tried and it's unavailable. This caller gave me his BT I.D. number: 65001 BT -- Calls like this, and there are lots of them !!!!, are really upsetting ---I HATE SCAMMERS LIKE THIS BADLY SPOKEN FIEND WHO PRATTLED ON AND ON TELLING ME HE WOUDL FIX MY BT iNTERNET PROBLEM. - SICKENING AN

I couldn't understand the gentleman very well. He asked me to confirm my name and when I refused he became rather flustered. He asked me again and I said "No, you called me. You should know who I am." I asked what the company was called and was unable to understand the name but got a very round about explanation of them helping me with a PPI claim without actually mentioning those letters. Caller said he worked for BT & that my internet had a virus & wanted me to switch on my computer to fix it. Spoke to 3 different people to try & get true verification of who they were / worked for? In the end they hung up.

I guy said he was calling from Vodafone and had a great deal for me as a Ltd company and he just had a few questions to ask. I have the right to remain silent (or so I believe) so I said nothing whilst I googled the number and found these reviews. When I went back on the line he'd gone. Oh well.
