I received this call yesterday and it appears to originate from Meriden, Conneticut. I automatically ignore these sorts of numbers and block them. However, I'm being inundated with these calls on a daily basis and it's so frustrating as they will keep calling you but from a different number!

A south african lady left a message with a colleague that she needed to talk to me about a private financial matter. When I returned the call, she was unable to tell me where she got my details from as her info was incorrect. Spoke to her manager Luke Taylor who was also unable to tell me where they got my details. They offered to write off my company debt (which does not exist). I had alarm bells right from the beginning and definitely do not trust these guys. Do not trust them and definitely dont give any

UK (not sure why it comes up as Hanoi on here!) - Worldwide scam phonecall from DHL in the UK spoofing the actual DHL customer service number so it looks/sounds legit, automated Chinese voice asking you to press 9 to speak to someone regarding a parcel, then repeats the message in Chinese. The person calling said they were from Carphone Warehouse and wanted to talk to me about upgrading my phone (but didn't seem to know what model phone I had, plus this mobile isn't with Carphone Warehouse), but the number is showing up online as belonging to a newsagent in Daventry so be cautious as I'm not sure it's legit...

caller said they were from BT Open reach and said they had noticed a problem with our computer. I said thats interesting. She said can you turn on your computer I replied do you think I am f****** mad to which she replied yes. I said so go f **** off this number is not to be trusted do not do anything you are asked and warn elderly and vulnerable not to turn on anything.
