Scammers cold calling recently activated sim card numbers

This call is from the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service

A foreign sounding man introduced himself as John Parker and said I was due for refund of bank charges. I gave him my dob (I recently claimed charges and for a second thought it was genuine.)I would never give bank details and said so. I just said Lloyds bank(not true).He said his boss will phone me today. They called this morn and I didn t answer. Dreading the phone ringing now and worried giving my dob was a dangerous thing. He didn t swear but got more impatient as the call went on.

Unusual calling ring tone. Complete silence when answered, as though line was dead

When called the person answering did not know the address of the head office! The name of chief executive given by staff different to that held by Companies House CEBTA (Campaign for Ethics for Business Transfer Agents) and Google have some very intersting comments! See also 0800 393664

Guy introduce himself saying he was contacting me as i was on a list to receive a refund due to bank charges. He asked me lots of questions about who ive had loans from and who ive had credit cards with. I said im sorry this doesn t sound right to me...he got very irritated and told me to check the number it is a recognized BT number at a registered address. Repeated calls but only while abroad , itself highly suspicious. I suspect our holiday info was sold. All unanswered. No calls since returning to the UK.

Received call to see if I was OK for heating oil as purchased from them before. Nice salesperson and extremely helpful. Called back to place order and others were professional. Good customer service.
