This number called my landline this morning. Indian/Pakistani lady claiming to be from BT. Said my internet speed wasn't up to scratch and did I know how to check the speed. I said I did and checked regularly. She asked when I last checked and what was the speed. I said I checked yesterday and the speed was was what I expected. The call was then ended abruptly from their end. Now blocked.

Called by these people offering a free loft roof space check, assured no money involved but if anything detected we would have two years to decide. Loft space checked and said to be in poor state for mould and decay of boards, told it would cost £8k to fix but if we went onto the express service it would be £6,400 but we had to book in right away. We asked for time to think about it and he then appeared to call a colleague who agreed to lower price to £6k but we must firm immediately. We declined.

Automated voice claimed that I had ignored documents from HMRC and that legal action would be taken.

Tried to tell me I overpaid my insurance on my washing machine and had a refund for me of £119.00 and could they have my bank details. Never had insurance

Fraud recording only. claiming that you have a pending case from HMRC and are investigating your financial activity. It urges you to press 1 to have further details about the case before they issue an arrest warrant. Block number and report. It is so funny how the UK govt allows number spoofing and can not get to know who uses these numbers. It is no brainer that o2 could identify who uses this spoofed numbers. They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. Had a missed call from them yesterday 19 May 2023, and tracked it to Russia Today 20 May got a message from them, pretending to be police and telling me to report to Preston Police Station regarding an incident on Sunday (tomorrow) Fraud SCAM

This number is being used for fraud/scams. They call and accept you of tax fraud and demand payment to stop legl action. DO NOT TRUST THIS NUMBER. I HAVE REPORTED THIS NUMBER.
