I was contacted from this number at 16:30 on 10.06.2022. It was a man of Asian origin judging by the accent (Pakistani, Indian, Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi) and said quote: “Hello, is this ***** *****? call was an automated call saying it was from a bank and my account had been compromised - 2 amounts of money taken from sources I do not use. It didn't say which bank of what account was involved just press 1 or 2 depending on my reaction. I did nothing but thought it should be reported as it came up as a local number. This is the second call this week of this nature so everyone should be aware that these nasty people are targeting people some of who may be vunerable.

SCAM!! Leasing Airbnb properties (advertised on FB marketplace) that do not exist!! Cleverly they've linked their web page up to Airbnb's page so when you look for support, it will take you to the legit page, but the booking page is a complete scam! It'll reject your payment when you confirm your booking and offer you the option to do a wire transfer. The scammer will give you "Airbnb's bank details" (confirmed by an agent, Airbnb do NOT have a bank account) to place your deposit into.

WhatsApp message from this number, saying “Hi there”. Potential it could be a scam. Can’t find any info on it.

Came in a scam email pretending I'd ordered a camera from Target Inc. for £129.99 via PayPal. This is the "customer service number" you have to call to cancel the order. Hovering over the email address (Laverne D Lee) reveals it's from [email protected]

SCAM: I believe this caller is possibly cloning local STD numbers. In an American automated-voice it then claims a substantial purchase has been made fron Amazon via your VISA account. Both of these accounts I have since checked and have not been affected in this way, hence my reporting this bogus land-line call.
