This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. This is because I am on Carers Allowance. HMRC do not have my mobile number. SCAM

Gave him false sort code and account number to see where this was going. He asked me to "confirm" my date of birth also gave him a false date, he missed the fact it was April Fool's day. This is a scam number pretending to be Amazon UK. They pretended that i had mistakenly signed up for 'their' yearly subscription and stated i they were due to take 79.99 out of my account today if i did not cancel immediately. They stated that they could sort this out online and that I may be due a refund. I asked them to call back and contacted Amazon service desk who explained that they had never called me and that i was still subscribed on monthly terms. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR DETAILS.
