This number called me in today on my landline at 12:45. I answered, they hung up. I rang back, it rang then disconnected. I live in Scotland, the number is from York. I used my mobile to call, same result. What was the point of the call if they have no intention of communicating. There is a point but I am left wondering what!

Caller said they were from O2 and had been looking through their monthly contracts to offer a 40% discount to subscribers. Said they would send an email and 2 codes to my mobile for me to claim. I don't have a contract with O2!! Also had a call from 01233 542989 this morning but couldn't answer it - seems like the same company. Caller (not good english) claimed to be from my telephone provider, but could not tell me which provider, clearly an attempted scam.

Called today. Strong Indian accent I couldn’t understand. When I asked him to repeat it he hung up. Can only assume it’s a call centre and maybe malicious?
Caller said that our account would be debited £300 and a much larger amount I've received similar calls recently and checked my account. No debits found.

Searched Google and found they are being looked into by the FCA as they are unlicensed and are trying to sell services or products with out being registered.
