Fraud Pretending to be from Sky technical department and that my router was giving me problems.. it was sometimes fast and sometimes slow, (aren’t they all ?) anyway, I told him I didn’t have a router, so he asked if I had a cell phone, I told him no, then the call ended.. probably trying to find someone else with a dodgy router. !

Claims to be BT technical suggesting they are cutting broadband services off for illegal activities, they can’t give the account name or number. Multiple calls this morning regarding this from other numbers too.

This number seems to be from Dagastan in Russia. As I don't know anyone in Russia I would suggest it is a scam caller. Fortunately I got it as a missed call.

Don't know who called me from this number. I jumped out of bed when the phone rang but I didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. It was 7:36 am ffs! Even the sun was still in bed where I live in Greater Manchester and I do't even know where Thanet is, never mind why someone from there would be phoning me at an ungodly hour. I highly suspect this was a scam call.

Called about bitcoin, and said my number was associated with bitcoin purchase about 4 years ago. I did not even have this number that long ago. Sounded very shady, when I questioned what it was about they rushed to hang up saying that they would be in contact when they could prove it.

SCAM - Pretending to be O2, tries to get you to verify using texts from O2.. DON'T DO IT! Basically they log on to O2 and use the 'forgot password' function on your account.. the texts are real, but they are just using the detaisl to change your password and gain access to your account. SCAM

SCAM: The number 08000478737 is on a letter supposedly from Trading Standards saying a wine investment company I have shares with has gone bust. The letter comes with an Insolvency Service form to complete regarding my shares, and that i must complete it in order to get full value of my shares returned. I must telephone the number to give the answers. Except, the wine company hasn't gone bust & Trading Standards don't send out these kind of letters.

SCAM claimed to be insurance on domestic appliances up for renewal - quoted my name, address and phone number (all as per phone directory) at me,then asked for my date of birth for verification - I asked him to tell me my date of birth so that I could verify it and (surprise, surprise) the line went dead.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. I answered the phone, silence, then a recorded message said they were RMG and they could not connect me to one of their advisers at the moment, If I wish to call them back then they would connect me to an adviser. Obviously a "sales call" trying to get me to part with my money. Conclusion: Illegal activity.
