I missed a no caller ID call from Dundee city council, the person gave me this number to call back on. I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. I don't type or do anything but an English automated voice comes on says "sorry I didn't get that", this repeats indefinitely.. pretty sus for a number that's meant to be the counsel. Safe number Received a call from 03333440000 trying to give me a text message to my landline. I hung up. Then I decided to check them out and it turned out to be a GENUINE COMPANY called AQL who were simply trying to give me a message. I called 03333446527 to retrieve my message which was from a NHS supplier. The message was important to me! Why the NHS supplier chose to send a text to my landline when they have my mobile number is a mystery to me. No worries here.

Received a call stating from British Gas with regards to my boiler cover. Advised that I will be covered for £22 a month and asked for my sortcode and account number. I was asked to call this number. A man called me on my landline about potential fraud in my bank account and claimed this number was for the Halifax fraud prevention team. The caller asked me to give them my mobile so they could send me a text. When I said no they asked me to ring this number instead.

Fake and scam. Some woman with an Indian or Pakistani accent. Bad English. Pretended to be from BT. I told her she was a liar and BT didn't phone people about their broadband. She hung up.
Caller said he was Virgin Media Technical Department and believed I was having trouble with my internet speed. He wanted me to do a speed test but when I said that I couldn't do that he disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never phoned me in the past. As far as I'm aware, Virgin never phone customers when there's any problem so I'm rating this call as dangerous.
I realized it was not a scam but paperweight. It was just strange that the call lasted 1 second and nobody answered. I called them to fill help me fill out disability related benefit forms. They tried to call me back.
