Based on other comments- checked this number and sure enough it was from a telemarketer from help Your Claim. very noisy background (sounded like he was calling from a pub)

10 to 15 calls a week. 99% are automated calls. we were lucky to get hold of an actual human being. unfortunately those humans are as automated as their mechanical colleagues. they unable to comprehend even the simplest syntax like: do not call me again!!!!!!!!!!

Person said they were ringing about the number of nuisance calls I’ve been receiving, I told him 3 times I hadn’t been receiving any (except for for him) he then hung up.

Seems to be a legal claims helpline that tries to optimise their call statistics bacause they don t bother talking to you. Even if you call them back, they will hang up on you.

I used to work for Stellar (temporary after redundancy). It was an awful job that paid minimum wage with no bonus. One thing I can say about them is they are genuine partners of BT which you can see at bt.com/partners. The agents that call you have all received training of a higher standard than BT agents as they wish to protect their contracts and we actually did genuinely want our customers to get a better deal. Yes we can check who you are currently with, but it takes time so it s easier just to ask. Sor

Sounded Chinese but couldn't tell a word they were saying. Passed onto several others with similar language problems. Very persistent and carried on when I suggested they were scammers, didn't stop till I put the phone down

A south african lady left a message with a colleague that she needed to talk to me about a private financial matter. When I returned the call, she was unable to tell me where she got my details from as her info was incorrect. Spoke to her manager Luke Taylor who was also unable to tell me where they got my details. I keep receiving multiple calls from this number as well as other local area code numbers on both my landline and mobile. No messages are left and when I did pick up once, they hung up. I am presuming it s a telemarketer.

Rang me, left a message saying I was facing legal action. I was then told, on ringing back that I needed my debit/credit card as I had overpaid my taxes to HMRC. When asked how I had overpaid, they tried to hustel me into giving my card number.

I had them say I could claim PPL I think they said, wanted to know what cards I had and where I banked and how long with said bank.
