At 8.20am I answered my land line thinking it must be important and was a local number. It was a automated message saying ‘thank you for your payment of £299 for anti virus, if any problems please call our free phone number’ The number I’m afraid I didn’t get and it didn’t say any company either. I’m sure this is a scam of some sort that they catch you when you call to complain so very much aimed at the trusting, naive or elderly.
received a call from this number, no-one at the other end, tried calling back and got the unobtainable tone. Now on the blocked callers list!

Scammers have found yet another number to use. This one told me that the cover on my washing machine had expired - I have no such insurance, warranty or guarantee. Caller had my name and address despite being registered with TPS. Another crook and clearly a scam.
Automated call say my debit card had been used abroad, gave option of numbers to press, didn't press any now phoning bank to check if problems, suspecting it to be a scam
