15:29 19/7/16. Did not appear to know my name, address or location, as did not refer to any - so just cold call to landline. Claimed to be from BT security and that there was a problem with my router. I asked who are BT? (jut to wind him up) - the answer he gave was the only truth in his call. He wanted me to check and confirm some details on my router. I told him I did not believe what he said, I was not going to give him any information and that I was going to hang up - which I did.

Guy introduce himself saying he was contacting me as i was on a list to receive a refund due to bank charges. He asked me lots of questions about who ive had loans from and who ive had credit cards with. I said im sorry this doesn t sound right to me...he got very irritated and told me to check the number it is a recognized BT number at a registered address. SCAM - automated call claiming that 'Due to unauthorised use, your internet will be disconnected' and to hold on the line to speak to a call handler. Caller with Indian accent claimed to be from 'Cyber Security Dept' that deals with security issues for all the service providers including BT. Starts by asking me if I have given my password to anyone and what devices I currently have connected. After giving her some bogus answers, I put her on hold and disconnected the call after 5mins. Definitely SCAM!
This is a harassing call. They have phoned regularly for a number of weeks. They are a nuisance. I do not answer them as am busy.
