Its from Nationwide and they ask if you are ???? and if yes press 1 or 3 for no. My daughter left them and we have received 4 calls so far and she has not lived here for over 20 years!!

phoned 3 times in 3 days very rude and pushy.

They re a bunch of scum nuggets, keeps calling me, Blocked and they still come back with a slightly different number. They even left a answer phone message (listen here http://bit.ly/C0ldca11ing ) just in case I wanted to call back. I hope they die a painful cancerous death from which the disease gets passed on to their children for generations and they each get to watch their children die painfully. The caller said a new store was being set up in the town and they wanted to send me discount vouchers for either cutting hot water bill or heating bill. When I asked about for more information he mentioned something about the 50+ age range. I told him we are ex-directory so how did he get the number. He said something about UK database and I said I didn t deal with cold calls and he rang off.

Not genuine number but one that phone Companies sell to scammers all over the world, so they appear UK based. SCAM

Sales call, knew my name but took a while to answer me after answering so I just hung up.

Unrecognised number, not answered, left no message

Call from someone who gave their name as Charlie Jarvis asking for details of an accident they wrongly claimed I had. Rang off when I asked for name of the company.

I have called applianceserve on 08004118899. I said I had asked for a refund of the £175 I had paid for my washing machine to cover the next 3 years following the expiry of the manufacturer s guarantee but had not received any response. Having seen comments on the internet saying it was a scam, I said if the company is genuine then please can you arrange a refund. She looked up my details and said someone will call me tomorrow in office hours. She sounded pleasant - so - watch this space!!
