Call center. I answered the call, although I was suspicious as I didn't recognize the number. I said hello, 5 or 6 times, there was a clicking on the line, then a foreign-sounding female voice finally said hello. I said "you took your time answering, didn't you" at which point the call was disconnected.

TPS is useless against these calls which calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. Just block the number if you have the facility.
MISSED CALL: I didn't get to the phone in time to answer, but the call was from an unknown number in Manchester, so it was probably another scam call.

These numbers are provided by "reputable"service providers and are used (mostly) by independent marketeers on commission from large companies (e.g. BT, Sky, British Gas, etc.) to push products. Starts asking for my banking details and I have to interrupt him again to ask what company the "consumer services" relates to. I stop him to say I don t recognise the name of the company and if he could remind me what service I purchased from them. He hung up.
