SCAM - This is a large scammy marketing company that effectively sells leads to other companies but they are either fake leads or they sell the same leads to literally hundreds of companies. They use tons of VOIP numbers to run this scam and how it works is they sign you up to paying for these leads at say £50 or £100 per lead and of course you will never actually get it. Automated call stating that £300 & £1,100 had been taken from my card. “Press 1 to cancel”. I pressed 1 to try and find out who was calling. Was told by a guy with a foreign accent that the call was from London Paddington. He asked the reason for my call and then asked for my full name. At that point I put down the phone and registered this number. Obviously this was a fraudulent call.

My number on contract with o2 taken over by fraudster. O2 cancelled the number but it has been used in attempts to access my credit cards. Also possibly being used as a debit card app. number. Police and Action Fraud are aware.

Saying that was from Virgin Media, asking to access my computer because my landline was corrupted. It was the 4th call today, different numbers but same story and each time they hang up when I told them I am recording the conversations. I had this type of phone call before and I checked with virgin media and they said is fraud, do not give any information because they do not contact customers with such matter.

SCAM - somebody called to ask to speak to my husband regarding his business account with British Gas. When I asked them to contact my husband's business directly they stated that the only number they had (which is our home number). They gave me a reference number and asked if my husband could call them. It all sounded very plausible - please be aware.
