First said it was from Sky, (knew my name and address), said my contract ended now in begin of April, I corrected saying it was only next month. Then she said they needed to do some checks to see if they could offer me a better/cheaper deal and asked me how much I pay monthly. Fraud Call centre, pretend to be "running security" for Virgin Broadband, call to say they have "seen problems on the line". When I told them I wasn't on Virgin, they waffle on about how they do the security for all broadband suppliers, because Virgin supplies the lines for them all. I told them I was on Grain, and then they just imediately hung up. Obvious fraud scam.
Claimed to be from Virgin, calling about internet. Got increasingly frustrated with me when I said I didn’t recognise the number and would call Virgin myself. Didn’t believe the guy with Indian accent and I hung up when he wouldn’t go away. Scary as it sounded like a big call centre in the background and it would be easy to get sucked in. Hope everyone hangs up and karma catches up with what I believe are scammers.

Just joined START RESCUE, they rang and left a message asking me to call back to discus my plan. Cannot see any reason to call them as my plan has been set up and is active as paid, i think more likely they want you to take out other policies with them, not ringing back.

I have already reported this number. It is the dialling code owned by mobile provider Hutchison 3G UK Ltd. I do not know the ID of the phone number 874428 other than what garbled message I've heard suggests it may be from India. I'm unable to make a connection but Hutchinson's have an Indian call centre; from a limited number of reviews it seems Hutchinson's don't have a very good reputation as a provider of services.

Have done my research and investigated and found out it's something to do with a Crypto currency scam!!! I have never got involved in crypto currency and unsure how they had access to my number. Said they were calling from (mumbled) and that thousands of pounds were being taken out of my account which they thought unusual. The dialling code was our local number thought strange but them hung up rang from another 01242 number a few minutes later but ignored
I received a call from this number 01793 540172, claiming that he is from EE and that there is a promotion going to reduce my monthly mobile bill and again he phoned up with another number 01997 617576. I checked with EE and there is No promotion at the moment. they are scammers.
