The automated call says its from HMRC. It's designed to frighten you into selecting the option to be connected to a call centre. I didn't take it any further as it was clearly a very nasty, aggressive attempt to initiate a scam.

SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!! PRETEND TO BE FROM YOUR ENERGY COMPANY WITH YOUR ADDRESS AND NAME!! Then say they need a number from your INVOICE!! THIS IS TO SWITCH YOU OVER AND TAKE YOUR MONEY!! I asked to speak to management and the name of manager made up a random name. I said that person does not work in your department- they got angry told me I was being cut off and hung up!! Rang my original provider theu said it was a common scam!!

Absolute scam. Claimed to be from OpenReach told me they would switch the internet off for 72 hours as our IP address was public and it was a GDPR issue. When I told them to make our IP address private as they actually own the internet, they told me they couldn't. I had to run a software on my laptop to do it. Literally do not do anything they say!

I told him I did not have a visa debit card and asked him to explain further. He hung up. Please be aware never to give any bank details out over the phone. Why are the elderly and vulnerable subjected to these scam callers. Why are they allowed to operate? is it because our corrupt government receive payback bonuses for allowing them to operate?
Fed Ex scam. Haven’t even ordered anything. Picked up for 1 second and it ended, leaving a voicemail in both English and Chinese, saying something about 2 parcels and press different numbers for different enquiries, supposedly so your voicemail service calls them back when you press.
