These are indian individuals making scam calls presenting them as phone companies and scam you.
Number came up as spam on my mobile phone so I didn't actually answer any of the 3 calls I have had so far today and this is the first time I have been called by it. Indications on other sites are that this is Opus credit (aka New Day) and it makes sense since I have an account with them and I missed a payment with them yesterday.

Automated message claiming that financial transactions had been made on my card this morning. Press x to authorise etc. The message did not give the name of any bank or organisation.

Received a call from this number this morning, i let it go to answering machine ( landline) and no message was left, then called beeped & ended. Very suspicious call I felt.
Caller said they were from O2. Said there was suspicious activity on my account, then a text turned up that looked to have come from O2. The text had a code number that they wanted to "prove I was the account holder. I'm sorry. This is an obvious scam. They'd use that code to hijack my account, change the address, and order as many high end phones and tablets as O2 would let them. My second call this morning from an 01257 number - different ones - both claiming to be a banking service who have detected suspicious activity on my account. They are both automated messages with the same female voice and both claim withdrawals from my (unspecified) account from the same places (Amazon and overseas) but quote different amounts. 01257 is my local dial code, which I suspect is meant to lend credibility to the call. Brechin (Scotland) cloned number allegedly from 02. A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!
