SCAM A gentleman rang and claimed he was from microsoft, he said we had been sent 14 messages that we ignored to say we had been hacked so he was ringing to help. wanted us to sign into our computer while he stayed on the phone so he could help fix it if we followed his instructions. These are indian individuals making scam calls presenting them as phone companies and scam you.

SCAM called wanted to talk about my Virgin Media broadband which was about to be disconnected. When I told him that I don’t have service from Virgin Media and suspected a scam call he got abusive.

Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.
