The caller said a new store was being set up in the town and they wanted to send me discount vouchers for either cutting hot water bill or heating bill. When I asked about for more information he mentioned something about the 50+ age range. I told him we are ex-directory so how did he get the number. He said something about UK database and I said I didn t deal with cold calls and he rang off.

I just had a call too but didn't answer it as i didn't know the number.

Calls repeatedly, no speech then hangs up after a few seconds. Looks like a local number, but starts with a 4 not a 6, so very suspicious.

When i challenged the caller she said her name was Wendy and she was calling from manchester and it was regarding a hoilday i had booked in march next year. i have booked no holiday, and a soon as i said i had been in touch with the police regarding calls form the wales area she hung up. hmmm

They get your number from one of these organisations. You can ask to delete your number and they do comply. Started calling me about 2 weeks ago, usually just after 8am or around 4pm. Answered once but now use phone s blocking mode to stop their calls. The phone logs the calls but does not respond.

Claim to be from Total Gas and Power. Checked it via their website. Got an Indian Manager calling himself Huffain (surname) refuse to tell me his first name. Told me to shut up LOL
