Received a call at 14.27 p.m. from Barclays/Barclaycard saying that two transactions had been made this morning. One for £2000.- and another one for £700.-plus. If I agree to this transaction press one, if I want to speak to someone press two. I pressed two. Then there was a pause and after a while the person with an American accent said good buy.

Does anybody recognise this, suspect, phone number, 02392379223, from which I received an automated call earlier this morning? The ‘female’ speaking voice, claimed to be from ‘AMAZON’, and wanted me to give, account, details. Needless to say , I hung up and did a ‘Who called me’ phone number search, which showed it was from the Portsmouth area, I wasn’t aware that AMAZON was based in the UK, let alone Portsmouth. May have mentioned UPS which co-incidentally I've been receiving scam emails recently purporting to be from them about an outstanding delivery which I can categorically state I am NOT awaiting. Recieved a fake Barclays OTP message from this number also containing a suspicious number to call for "help"
Broad Indian accent, difficult to understand but the general gist I got was he wanted my details so he can save me 30-40% off my bill. Had to press for details on what bill he was saving me money on, he stammered and, almost like he was guessing, said my O2 mobile phone bill. Nobody in this house has any O2 devices so be safe - don't give these scumbags any details. Block the number, maybe work out some of your anger by screaming abuse at them as I did.

Automated A Very annoying automated call. They call on average 4 times day. Starting at 9am. Never leave a message, never say who they are. I called them back using this number and an automated message says this telephone number has been discontinued as it has been reported as fraud.
