Said they were from CarphoneWarehouse. Offered me a deal on an iPhone 13. I said I had recently started a contract so wasn't interested. She said they would buy out my current contract and also were not trying to get me on a conract either. Sounded super scammy!

This was a recorded message saying your credit card had been used, (no name, no card reference) for a payment to Amazon and a large payment to an over sea recipient and to press 1, to allow the transaction or 2 to speak to an advisor to stop the transaction. Using 1471 to check the caller number, the number given was a 16 digit number. 0179582197582587. This was definitely a SCAM call.

SCAM: I believe this caller is possibly cloning local STD numbers. In an American automated-voice it then claims a substantial purchase has been made fron Amazon via your VISA account. Both of these accounts I have since checked and have not been affected in this way, hence my reporting this bogus land-line call.
I don't know think its safe I got a virus in my phone for a while and aI thought my Fb might be hacked ! I just went into my settings no where my WhatsApp was ,my own number was there . But where my FB was this number was there .and I have put soft ware in . I am moving from BT because of horrific service. I received a short automated message from BT - stating that they were taking over my line. I called to query this. The guy who answered verified my number, but it was not my number. I told him it was not mine and he abruptly hung up. I called back - the second call handler couldn’t understand the situation and became annoyed and hung up. My phone rung again and it was a scam call centre from abroad offering to cover my washing machine but I was to pay today.

This was an automated voice saying they were Amazon and I had been charged £95 for their Prime service - press one if I wanted to speak with someone or 2 if....
