This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. Asian lady called. Did not catch the name but said she was could claim back interest that had been wrongly charged to all my bank accounts and building society accounts over the past 20 yrs due to a new government ruling. She knew my name and address and telephone number, although she did get the postcode wrong. Did not correct her. Asked her to put the info in writing as was wary of any cold callers. She said OK and hung up. Interested to see if any info comes through the post!!

It would appear that it is actually Hillary's Blinds, cold calling. if you rung them at some point for a quote then that's probably how they got hold of your number.

Call received at 08.52. Long silence then automated female voice said "This call is from the Talktalk Technical Department to inform you that your internet connection will be cut off.....press 1 to remain connected or 2 to be cut off." Obviously scammers using data from the Talktalk hack some years ago.

Cold call
This is a PPI call. I pressed 5 to speak to the call centre. This is how it works. They have call centres which are not a part of the PPI company, they just make the cold call with their automated system, the automated dialing software offers you the option of speakign to someone if you press 5. you will speak to someone at a company who deals with the cold calling. This company is NOT the company dealing with the PPI stuff, I am guessing so that they themselves are not responsible for the cold calling part
