This is clearly a fraudulent call - advising that £900 was about to be charged to a debit/credit card!! They need to be exposed, so that they do NOT con someone!!
Caller had very poor English. Saying he was from Virgin Media. The caller delayed speaking, then in a very odd voice said he was calling from virgin media. Not trust worthy very unprofessional

Call from 07477 109562 at 10:35 on 05.06.2023 - I remained silent; the line remained silent Call from 07477 150182 at 15:57 on 07.06.2023 - {as above) Call from 07477 133622 at 15:35 on 16.06.2023 - Automated call stating "a letter had sent a week ago by HMRC and had been ignored. Court action was now under way. Press 1 to speak to an officer." I did this immediately, and a man with a near Asian accent, politely asked;"Can I help you?"
Pretending to be O2 offering discount on mobile, had to get him to repeat himself about 50 times. Scammers!!!

Getting fed up with this number calling us. Obviously some sort of Asian call center using a UK phone number as a relay. Callers are abrupt and rude when asked politely for name and reason for call. Callers offering mild threats if we do not listen and hangs up after a while. Added to our black list but number keeps changing slightly.

ActiveQuote - Private Health insurance. Call center They call at renewal time, presumably so they can get another commission. I chose my existing provider from a comparison website and don't need any "advice" to renew with them. Obviously, if you keep change providers any pre-existing medical conditions won't be covered. You can supposedly email [email protected] to update your preferences. I haven't tried it yet, but it should stop the calls.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Asked how she got my number and she said it was 'randomly generated' by a computer. Caller said he was Virgin Media Technical Department and believed I was having trouble with my internet speed. He wanted me to do a speed test but when I said that I couldn't do that he disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never phoned me in the past. As far as I'm aware, Virgin never phone customers when there's any problem so I'm rating this call as dangerous.
