Fraud. They called my mom several times. When I tried to call back. It said "inactive number"... in Russian. Why a UK based mobile operator woud have an automated answer in Russian. Defo scam or fraud.

I assume this was a phishing attempt as the automatic message claimed to be from "my bank" (no specific bank mentioned) warning me of an Amazon debit and a large international transfer. Press 1 to speak to an "advisor".

This is a number used by people dealing in so-called trading not recognised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). They use false advertising incl. British celebrities to steal thousands of pounds from UK citizens. They are scammers to put it mildly and not to be trusted!!!

19/01/23 at 15:42 Got 5 text messages on my mobile,introduced themselves as my eldest child,said that she had a little accident,that shes texting me from her friend's mobile (00447709082775), gave me this number 00447700161284 to text back to confirm.It said that she dropped her phone,that she is bit stressed out.asked me if i can help her with something and make payment for her.When I asked to proof its my daughter,no more texts received.

SCAM called with an automated message saying that it's from the tax office and I owe tax and to prevent going to jail that I needed to press 1 to answer them. I haven't worked in over 20years so I don't pay tax so not even the smallest possibility that I would owe any. Also the tax office would never contact you by phone. Just and scam to steal money. Why don't they get a proper job.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. Best he didn't call me when I didn't even have a coffee or a cup of tea or a cigarette. I won't be called dumb or stupid by a fake debt collector. This company re sale web domains at inflated prices, access your details online with no prior connection. They was operating under a different name, I guess went bust and setup again. They gave me two names of companies hosting my domain, neither of them was correct, seems like a chancer.

SCAM - A robot voice told me that £600 would be sent overseas from my card unless I pressed the '1' key to speak to someone. Didn't say which card, or which bank. I terminated the call, then tried calling the number. An answering machine announced that the number wasn't accepting calls. Obvious scam. I've blocked the number.

SCAM . Some woman phoned up asking about damage in my home. Kept asking what issues I had and whether I had damp or mould etc. when I asked where she got my number and why she was calling she hung up.

Probable scam. Asked me for "Final Payment" on a "contract" (non-existent) for maintaining domestic appliances, saying it was due today, and that a paper receipt would be sent to my hone address, which the caller asked me to verify. When I said the address was correct, I also said he should have sent an invoice earlier, but he then immediately hung up.
