"Bank Security" telling me they needed authorisation for two amounts on my credit card. One for £300 from Amazon. (It is amazing how often I seem to "pay" Amazon £300) and one for an overseas number. Another variation on an old scam. Blocked

Received a text message that "Simon" tried to deliver my package, but no one was home, and to "reshedule" my delivery by accessing {OBVIOUSLY FAKE WEBSITE!} "postoffice-reshedule-depot.com". Incorrect spelling of reschedule not once but twice was the first warning it was a SCAM. Then looking at the full website address.......yeah....obviously fake, and a quick google search leads to a number of Phishing / Scam reports using this same web address. 100% confirmed scam.
This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.

Not sure tried to call it back and its saying they are but I did call the acutal British Passport office and they have told me that this number is FRAUD! so do not give any information of yours! to 02038597401 this is a fraudulent number. Called me 6 times in the past 3 weeks. I have missed all the calls as they happened when I am working. They have never left me a message which makes me assume either dodgy or cold calling. After reading other people's comments below I have blocked the number - if it is green peace as some suggest then I have no idea how they have got my number. I have never donated to Greenpeace however I may well have signed petitions but I don't think you usually give out your phone number when you sign a petition

SCAM - twice had calls from this number with a recorded message saying I had been charged £79.99 by Amazon for Amazon Prime Services - hung up and contacted Amazon - call is not from them.

This is obviously a scam - slight delay on answering and recorded message cut in, but as soon as it stated this is HMRC I cut off the call.

This is a scam, they claim they are calling from O2 my mobile provider which is not true and they ask you to go through security with them you give false info and they claim all is fine and that they are now on your account. All fake I never gave real info and my provider it is not O2. Beware!!
