SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. Recorded message call this morning saying that payments had been made from my account one money transfer (£1300) and one to Amazon (£200), press button options at which point I hung up and checked the number on this site.

This number has rang me twice now, the male on the other end says, you have just rang this number. Yesterday I told them no I haven't and they asked who it was, so I asked who they were. They said you rang this number and I reiterated I hadn't and they said you have, so I said no I haven't and told them to go away and put the phone down. Today they said again you have just called this number, so this time I told them to get lost and put the phone down. I don't know this number possible new scam going on

Call center several calls from this number and similar ones with a digit changed, claimed to be life insurance, then funeral services and todays offering was solar renewable panels. Strong Asian accent with broken English, rude, spoke fast and clearly reading off a set question conversation board. Hung up and blocked

07477 707231 didn't answer it as it's on a phone number that I don't use for anything or give out. Tried calling it back and it just says number not recognised, so clearly some sort of scam. I suspect it's the HMRC scam that's going around.

Attempt at an O2 scam, told me I was entitled to a free gift and discount on my tariff as a loyalty reward. I then got sent text messages from O2 with a security code that the caller wanted (not given). It was an attempt to access/take over my account.

It’s fishy got a text from this number suggesting I needed to ring 0330 8182192 to approve a payment Not used this card in 12 months
